The »open air museum", as the Dzheyrakhsky district of Ingushetia is sometimes called, very soon will open its doors to a greater number of visitors from all over the world: an all-season mountain recreation resort Armkhi will be developed here in the framework of the tourism cluster project.

A small, but attractive to tourists, the new resort will provide the opportunity to see magnificent landscapes of highland Ingushetia at the altitude of 2,994 meters, from Mount Stolovaya peak. Modern ski slopes, designed for experienced skiers and beginners, come down from the rocky ridge to the picturesque Armkhi valley. In summer, the local slopes are transformed into beautiful alpine meadows that will attract fans of ecotourism, hiking and horse riding.

Pure mountain air, saturated with the smell of flowering herbs and this magnificent land keep the memories of the great events and heroes of bygone eras. The guests of the new Armkhi resort can get acquainted with the historical heritage of Ingushetia: majestic battle towers, which are more than a few thousand years old, or ancient Christian church Thaba-Erdy that remained the spiritual and cultural centre of the country for many years.

Armkhi will provide barrier-free environment: people with special needs will be able to relax and go in for sports here, as around 50 per cent of all placements and recreational spa services will be adapted for their needs.

Armkhi is located 80 km away from Magas airport and 60 km away from Beslan airport, North Ossetia. For comfortable and safe entrance of tourist roads will be reconstructed and new road segments in the area of resort construction laid for comfortable and safe entrance of tourists.
