SOCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE

The Republic of Dagestan possesses a well-developed network of cultural and artistic institutions, consisting of 44 government institutions and a network of municipal institutions. The latter counts 2132 cultural and artistic institutions, including 1080 libraries and 1052 clubs, 108 art schools. The territory of Dagestan counts over 6 thousand cultural heritage sites, including 173 sites of federal significance. This is more than in any other region of the North Caucasian Federal District.*
