AGRICULTURAL SECTOR

The farming area is 578.6 thousand hectares.

 

The basic line of crop production development is the production of grain (rye, wheat, barley, and oats), sugar beet, potatoes, vegetables; the basic line of animal farming development is the production of meat, milk and eggs, bloodstock and livestock farming, pig, sheep, goat, and poultry breeding. Wool production is also developed.
